Six Meter Spots
With the excellent six-meter band conditions on Nov 18, 2001 we set a new record for six meter world-wide DX spots processing 2289 spots. The peak spot rate occurred at 1200Z where we processed 225 six meter spots per hour.
In addition to the many world-wide six meter spots available on the nodes, we also have a interface into the DX World 50 Mhz Prop and Magic Band
web sites. Spot information is pulled from these sites and rebroadcast to users
as announcements. This capability is available on the following AR-Cluster
nodes: AB5K, AB5K-2, K5NA, K5AB, N5UXT K1TTT and WU3V. Contact the sysop of the
node for activation.
The following commands can be used on any AR-Cluster node.
The command to receive only 6-Meter spots is:
set/filter dxbandmode/pass 6-CW,6-SSB,6-FM
If you do not want to see the world wide spots, you can limit the spot coverage to spots originating in the US and Canada by the following command:
set/filter dxorigcty/pass k,xe,ve
