AR-Cluster Advanced Filters
Use the built in filtering to limit your spot coverage to your desired area of coverage.
Node-to-node spot filtering is easily set up in a Windows graphical environment. For network efficiency, node-to-node filter parameters are sent upstream to the node you connected to and are called thus called "Upstream Filters".
Sysops typically set up their AR-Cluster node filters in one of four ways:
1. World-wide DX spot coverage - no filters required
2. North America DX spot coverage - activate filters to pass K,VE etc.
3. Regional spot coverage - activate the state/province filters for your desired region of coverage. We have several nodes that connect into the AR-Cluster backbone and feed their region networks using this filtering mode.
4. World-wide/Regional Mix – This option is for nodes who want world-wide DX spots but also want to connect into their regional networks who only want regional spots. We have a semi-custom solution for that as well.
User filters allow big gun stations the capability to open up their DX spot filters to their desired area of coverage (example continental US coverage) while stations with smaller antennas can narrow down the spot coverage down to a geographic region based on selected states (example TX, OK, LA and NM).
